The living room went silent, then a wave of disbelief washed over everyone. All eyes fixed on the doorway. There stood Arnav, dripping wet and utterly drenched. A ripple of shock went through the family as they knew Arnav's intense dislike for rain. In fact, he hated rain, so how did this impossible thing happen? That was the only question in everyone's mind.
Just then, Aman stepped into the house, only to freeze, his jaw dropping. He blinked, trying to clear his vision, but the image remained. Arnav, drenched. It seemed impossible.
Ratna was the first person to move and speak. "Chotte" she started to say, but Arnav didn't wait. He quickly walked past everyone and went straight to his room. He slammed the door shut very loudly, making a big noise that clearly showed how angry he is right now.
Mami finally found her voice. "Hello hi bye bye, is this a dream? Arnav bitwa, drenched in rain? That's just impossible!" she exclaimed, waving her hands a little.
Ratna, however, was lost in her own thoughts, looking worried. Aman watched his mother and understood exactly what she was thinking about. Quietly, he took out his mobile phone and quickly canceled Arnav's meeting at the restaurant. Then, Aman went to Arnav's room, a concerned look on his face.
------Arnav's Room---------
Arnav enters his room angrily and throws his coat on the floor. His face was red with rage, and his veins were throbbing. He tightly closes his eyes to control the rage boiling within him. He takes a deep breath, as if wanting to release the suffocation and resentment filling his chest. When he opens his eyes, he sees Aman leaning against the wall, calmly smiling at him with his arms crossed.
Seeing Aman open his mouth to say something, Arnav gritted his teeth and said, "Don't... don't ask anything right now. I'm already not in a good mood."
Aman was well aware of Arnav's anger. He knew that any straight talk at this moment would only add fuel to the fire. So, to lighten the mood and distract Arnav, Aman immediately changed the topic.
"I've canceled your meeting," Aman said in a very calm tone, as if it were a trivial matter.
Arnav raised his eyebrows, his eyes still holding anger, "Why are you telling me this??" Asked Arnav.
"To see what level your anger has reached now," Aman said with a faint smile, a mischievous glint in his eyes. He is intentionally provoking his anger as he wants to know the reason for Arnav's anger.
Hearing this, Arnav started remembering everything that had happened today. His anger, which had calmed down a little due to Aman's words, started increasing even more rapidly, which was clearly visible in his eyes. His eyes had turned red, and a feeling of burning anger was visible in them. Seeing Arnav in such a state surprising Aman. He understood that it was not just a matter of bad mood, something very big had happened. His curiosity increased even more, now he wanted to know what happened today at any cost.
Just then, Aman heard Arnav's angry, harsh voice. Arnav had clenched his fists, and his body was trembling with rage.
"All this happened because of that girl, because of her I got drenched in the rain. I am not going to leave that Rain girl, once she comes in front of me, she will regret it for the rest of her life!" Arnav said gritting his teeth, there was intense hatred and anger in his voice.
On hearing this, Aman's surprise knew no bounds, as if he had received a severe shock. His face was filled with disbelief. It was really unbelievable for Aman to believe that a girl had drenched a man like Arnav in the rain. He couldn't believe his eyes and ears.
"WHAT !! A girl called you in the rain and you went just like that?" Aman asked in shock.
Arnav glared at him angrily, "Do you think I am the kind of person who listens to others?”.
Aman shook his head as if he believed what Arnav said, but now there is mischievous glint in his eyes.
"Toh saale sahab, how did this miracle happen?" Aman asked in a mischievous tone, he did not try to hide his curiosity and fun. He is really having a lot of fun seeing Arnav's facial expressions who looked away as if he had ignored Aman's words, but the truth was that Arnav had no answer to this question, so what could he say as he himself was surprised.
" Wo.. ...i ... I..." Arnav was not able to understand what to say. His words were stuck, as if they were stuck in his throat.
On the other hand, Aman was enjoying seeing Arnav in such a state. He was hardly able to control his laughter.
"What .. I... I, are you saying? tell me, what's next?" Aman said teasing him further. Arnav looked at Aman and understood what Aman was trying to do. But he knew very well that he could not hide anything from Aman. Aman knew all his secrets.
Arnav took a deep breath, "She looked so beautiful at that moment that I didn't realize I was getting drenched in the rain" Arnav said looking at Aman.
This time Aman narrowly escapes going into a coma as Arnav was giving him one shock after another. He would have found it funny if anyone else had said this, but he knew Arnav since school days. Forget about talking to girls, he didn't even look at them, and the same man was saying today that he was so lost in the beauty of a girl that he got drenched in the rain which he hated so much. It was very difficult for him to believe this, but he knew that this was true, because Arnav never joked. He started looking at Arnav with deep eyes, there were many questions in his eyes, which Arnav very well knows.
" Stop staring at me and stop your thoughts that are going on in your mind. I hate that rain girl, you know me, I'm an open book for you... You know already " Arnav said in irritation, he didn't want to talk about this topic anymore..
Aman rolled his eyes, "An open book? Really? Everyone knows that understanding Arnav Singh Raizada is next to impossible!" Aman said in a taunting tone and walked out of the room.
-------------------------------------
On the other hand, Khushi went straight from the temple to the Gupta Gupta. She was going towards her room when a harsh voice stopped her right there.
"What is this, girl! Why did you take so long to come? Where were you till now?" Khushi knew this voice very well. When she turned around, she saw Madhumati Mishra, her Bhuaji. Anger and irritation were clearly visible in Bhuaji's eyes.
"Bhauji, ... I..." Khushi could only say this much when Bhuaji started talking again, as if she did not want to listen to her.
"What, Buaji? Don't you know we are all hungry? Who will cook food? I don't know why Shashi brought this girl to our house!" Buaji said bitterly, Her anger was clearly visible on her face.
Khushi felt very sad to hear such bitter words from Bhuaji. Her eyes filled with tears, but she did not let them flow. She suppressed her feelings within, took a deep breath and composed herself. Garima Gupta was watching all this from a distance. She came out of the kitchen after hearing Buaji's voice and heard everything. But all this was not new for anyone. Often Buaji used to taunt Khushi like this, and Khushi used to bear everything silently.
Garima hurriedly came to them. "Stop it Jiji, don't say that. Payal and Khushi are equal for us, both are our daughters," Garima said as She didn't want Buaji to say bad things to Khushi or hurt her further.
Buaji did not say anything further, she just frowned at Garima's words and went to her room without saying anything else. After she left, Garima came to Khushi with concern on her face.
"Bitiya, go to your room and take a rest," Garima said in a caring voice. Khushi did not say anything, just looked at Garima with her for a while and went to her room.
As soon as she entered the room, Khushi closed the door and the tears that she had held back till now started flowing freely. She pressed her lips so that no one could hear her sobs. She went and sat on her bed, her heart was heavy. She could still hear the words Bhuaji had said a while ago, every word piercing her like an arrow. She knew that Bhuaji did not like her at all, she never accepted her as one of her own. All this was because she was an adopted daughter. When Shashi adopted her eight years ago, Buaji was strongly against it. She didn't want someone who was not her blood to claim her right in this house.
Bhuaji believed that all this was Payal's rights, which Khushi had no problem with. All she wanted was some love from everyone, and she tried her best to get some space and love in this house. Which she got from Shashi, Garima and Payal, especially Shashi. He Loves her more than his own daughter. It's not that She didn't try to win Buaji's heart, but Buaji's behavior never changed. It remained the same as it was when she first came to this house.
Khushi is still in her thoughts when a knock on the door distracted her. She understood who had come. She quickly wiped her tears and opened the door, and there was Garima standing in front of her, looking worried.
Garima came in and gently stroked Khushi's head. "Bitiya, don't feel bad about what Jiji says. You know how she is. Don't take anything she says to heart," Garima tried to console her so that she doesn't get more sad.
Khushi could not say anything, she just nodded her head. What could she say, she had nothing to say. She tried to bring a faint smile on her face and quietly went to the kitchen to help Garima prepare lunch.
